QUB Wado-Ryu Karate club
Welcome to Queens University Wado Ryu Karate Club Online.
We are members of the Northern Ireland Wado International Karate-Do Federation NIWIKF which is part of the WIKF - one of the largest Wado Ryu federations in the world. Queens Wado Ryu Karate Club was founded in 1973 and is perhaps the oldest established Karate club still practising in Northern Ireland. We have a proud record of hard training and success in every aspect of Karate.
We have a full spread of abilities from Beginner to Black Belt and a fully coordinated programme of instruction tailored to each ability group.
We have the most senior grades of any club in our association, and an excellent competitive record both locally and internationally enjoying unparalleled success in both Kata and Kumite.
Sensei Michael Cole and many students have represented Northern Ireland at various International Competitions. However, despite our success, we are not a "Sports Karate" Club, and you can be sure of full traditional Karate practice. To join our club or for more information simply come along on any training day or night.
